19 May 2009 - End of the Season and beyond...
The 12 June sees the final event in Tight Lip's second Arts Council-funded season, a season that began unofficially in May and officially in June 20008 and has seen as visiting guests each month writers Toby Litt, Cathi Unsworth , Stewart Home, China Mieville, Nina Antonia, David L. Hayles, Maxim Jakubowski, Joolz Denby, Martyn Waites, Harriet Vyner and others.
During the summer haitus Tight Lip founders Jay Clifton and Sam Collins, as The Hammett Story Agency, have arranged two special Free event at the Hotel Pelirocco, 10 Regency Square, Brighton.

15 January 2009 - Incorporating Writing 'It's Alive' Tight Lip Issue Out Now
January's edition of the online publication Incorporating Writing features several articles by Tight Lip contributors as well as photographs by our own Sam Collins. It is available as a free download here.

1 December 2008 - First Tight Lip seminar this month.
The first Tight Lip seminar of the season is happening on the afternoon of Saturday 20th December - the day after this month's regular Tight Lip night. Up for discussion is the small press and the web. Is the interent now the tool of choice for the small press? Does it leave room for the more traditional publlishing activities? Do we want the same content from web publishing as we did from more traditionl forms? Questions such as these will be discussed with Lee Rourke and Andrew Stevens of online literary publication 3AM Magazine.

18 July 2008 - China Mieville confirmed for November Tight Lip.

Maverick science fiction writer China Mieville has been confirmed as the special guest reader for the November Tight Lip event. This exciting addition means that the autumn program is shaping up to be our best yet, and comes after confirmation of other readers such as Bethan Roberts (October) and Lee Rourke (December). Keep checking the future events page for details of events. More details of the writers will appear shortly.

10 June 2008 - Tight Lip is awarded funding by the Arts Council for a new season of events.
Tight Lip received confirmation last week that their funding proposal for the 2008/2009 season had been accepted by the Arts Council England. This very good news means that we can now go ahead with the planned event schedule for the year.
